Del Grande Dealer Group Hosts Networking Event Aimed at Empowering Women and Developing Opportunities in the Automotive Industry

SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 8, 2019) – Del Grande Dealer Group (DGDG.com), the Bay Area’s largest family-owned automotive group, recently hosted a networking event for the women of DGDG. The event, held during Women’s History Month, focused on celebrating the women of the group, while offering a platform for support, career growth, and mentorship in the often-male dominated field. The event featured a keynote by Kerri Wise, VP of Industry Education and Relations at TrueCar, and a panel discussion.

“I am committed to helping women maximize their full potential and it was an honor to be a part of the DGDG Women’s History event and to interact with women at the dealership who have a passion and determination to succeed,’ said Wise. “They inspired me as much as I hoped to inspire them.”

In addition to Keynote speaker, Kerri Wise, the panel discussion included Joanne Burgherr, General Manager at Capitol Chevrolet, Sherry Chiusano, Controller, Amy Loeun, Sales Manager at Oak Tree Mazda, and DGDG President, Jeremy Beaver.

The panel, moderated by Rebecca Allison, Director of Talent Acquisition, featured topics including addressing challenges that women face in the industry, and how to attract, retain and develop women in automotive.
