The Cadillac XT6 is a three-row luxury SUV smaller than the Escalade and larger than the five-passenger XT4 and XT5.
The XT6 offers both seven- and eight-seat layouts with either a second-row, three-seat bench or captain’s chairs. All XT6s come with a third row with ample legroom and space for three passengers. Both of the XT6’s rear rows fold easily, and the third row comes with a quick power-folding feature that’s powered by a switch inside the cargo area.
The all-new XT6 has one engine: A 310-hp 3.6-liter V-6, front- or all-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Cadillac XT6 is covered by a 4-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. There’s also a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty that also includes roadside assistance for the same term.
All XT6 models come with a revised version of Cadillac’s CUE touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, onboard Wi-Fi, and wireless smartphone charging.
The XT6 is available in two trims—Premium Luxury and Sport. Premium Luxury is the traditional approach to luxury, with more brightwork, luxury-oriented materials, and a smooth ride, while the Sport model gain quicker steering, standard all-wheel drive, and unique throttle and shift mapping.
All models come standard with low-speed forward emergency braking, front and rear park assist, and lane keep assist. Cornering headlamps and automatic high beams are also standard.
Among the standard features on the 2020 Cadillac XT6 are 8-way-power driver and passenger seats, sunroof, heated steering wheel and front seats, power folding and heated outside mirrors, tri-zone climate controls, Bose audio, wireless charging, active noise cancellation, and hands-free power lift gate.
The XT6 has a large, shield-shaped grille, horizontal headlight units beneath the hood’s leading edge and vertical LED daytime running lights that frame auxiliary front inlets. The rear has inverted L-shaped LED taillights, a chrome strip running across the liftgate and a lower diffuser with rectangular-shaped exhaust tips.
Why it makes us happy: Three-rows of luxurious Cadillac goodness.
